UPHILL DAILY DEVOTION Day 38
February 7, 2026
Topic: Boldness to Pursue God’s Calling
Introduction
God places a calling on every believer’s life. Sometimes that calling feels bigger than our abilities and greater than our confidence. Fear, doubt and insecurity often try to hold us back. But God does not call us to shrink back. He calls us to move forward with boldness. Boldness is not the absence of fear. It is the courage to obey God even when we feel unqualified. When we rely on His strength He empowers us to step into everything He has prepared for us.
Main Passage
“Have I not commanded you Be strong and of good courage do not be afraid nor be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 NKJV
Four Vital Points
1. God Gives Courage to Those He Calls
If God called you, He will strengthen you. His presence gives you the boldness to move forward.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear The Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid” Psalm 27:1
2. Boldness Comes from the Holy Spirit
We do not walk in our own strength. The Holy Spirit fills us with courage, confidence, and power.
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be witnesses to Me.” Acts 1:8
3. Faith Requires Action
Boldness is expressed through obedience. When we take steps of faith God opens doors and confirms His calling.
“For we walk by faith not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7
4. God Equips You for Every Assignment
You are not lacking anything. God gives you the gifts, resources and grace needed to fulfill your calling.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
Prayer
Lord Jesus give me boldness to pursue the calling You have placed on my life. Remove fear, doubt, and insecurity. Fill me with courage and strengthen my faith. Help me obey Your voice and walk confidently in the purpose You designed for me. Thank You for going before me and empowering me daily. Amen.
Declaration
Today I walk in boldness. God has called me, God equips me, and God goes before me. I pursue His purpose with courage and confidence.
