 Day 41 – February 10, 2026 

 Topic: Prayer for Mentorship and Guidance 

Introduction 

No one discovers purpose alone. God uses people to shape us teach us and guide us. A godly mentor provides wisdom, encouragement, correction, and direction. Mentorship is one of God’s ways of accelerating growth and protecting us from unnecessary mistakes. When we pray for mentorship, we are asking God to connect us with people who carry wisdom experience and spiritual maturity. God delights in guiding His children and He often does it through the voices He places in our lives. 

Main Passage 

“Where there is no counsel the people fall but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.” Proverbs 11:14  

Four Vital Points 

1. God Uses Mentors to Provide Wisdom 

A mentor sees what we cannot see and helps us make wise decisions. 

 “Listen to counsel and receive instruction that you may be wise in your latter days.” Proverbs 19:20  

2. Mentorship Helps Us Grow Spiritually and Practically 

Godly guidance strengthens our character and sharpens our gifts. 

 “As iron sharpens iron so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” 

 Proverbs 27:17  

3. God Directs Our Steps Through Godly Voices 

When we seek guidance God uses mentors to confirm His direction and protect us from wrong paths. 

 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and He delights in his way.” Psalm 37:23  

4. Asking God for Mentors Shows Humility 

Seeking guidance is not a weakness. It is wisdom. God honors the humble heart that desires to learn. 

 “He leads the humble in justice and He teaches the humble His way.” 

 Psalm 25:9  

Prayer 

Lord Jesus, bring the right mentors into my life. Surround me with people who carry wisdom, maturity, and spiritual insight. Give me a teachable heart and the humility to receive guidance. Lead me to voices that will strengthen my purpose and help me walk faithfully in Your will. Thank You for guiding my steps. Amen. 

Declaration 
Today I walk under God’s guidance. He surrounds me with wise and godly mentors, directs my steps, and leads me continually into His perfect will.
