Topic: Equipping Yourself with Necessary Skills
Introduction
Walking in purpose requires more than passion. It requires preparation. God gives us gifts but He also calls us to develop them. Purpose grows when we intentionally equip ourselves with the skills needed for the assignment God has given us. Preparation is an act of faith. It shows God that we take His calling seriously. When we learn to grow and sharpen our abilities, we position ourselves for greater impact. God blesses the believer who prepares.

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might.” Ecclesiastes 9:10
Four Vital Points
1. God Expects Us to Develop the Gifts He Has Given
Gifts grow through discipline and intentional learning.
“A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.”
Proverbs 18:16
2. Wisdom and Skill Come from God
As we seek God, He gives us insight, creativity, and the ability to grow in excellence.
“And He has filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom and understanding in knowledge and all manner of workmanship.” Exodus 35:31
3. Preparation Positions Us for Opportunity
When we prepare in private God opens doors in public.
“The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” Proverbs 18:15
4. Excellence Honors God and Strengthens Our Witness
Doing things well reflects God’s character and brings glory to His name.
“Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
Prayer
Lord Jesus help me equip myself with the skills needed for the purpose You have given me. Give me discipline to learn wisdom to grow and excellence in everything I do. Strengthen my gifts and guide me as I prepare for the opportunities You are bringing into my life. Amen.
Declaration
Today I equip myself with a purpose. God strengthens my gifts increases my wisdom and prepares me for every assignment He has planned for me.
