Topic: Seeking Godly Counsel From Others 

Introduction 

God never designed us to walk through life alone. He places wise and mature believers around us to guide encourage and help us make decisions that honour Him. Seeking godly counsel is not a sign of weakness but a sign of humility. When we listen to those who walk closely with God we avoid mistakes and gain clarity. God often speaks through the wisdom of others and uses their insight to strengthen our faith and direct our steps. 

Main Passage 

“Where there is no counsel the people fall but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.” Proverbs 11:14 NKJV 

Four Vital Points 

1. God Uses People to Guide Us 

God often speaks through trusted believers who know His Word and walk with Him. Their wisdom helps us see what we may be missing. 

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes but he who heeds counsel is wise.” 

Proverbs 12:15 

2. Wise Counsel Protects Us From Wrong Paths 

When we seek advice from mature Christians we avoid traps and poor decisions. Godly counsel brings safety and direction. 

“Plans are established by counsel.” Proverbs 20:18 

3. Humility Opens the Door to Wisdom 

Pride closes our ears but humility allows us to learn from others. A teachable heart grows stronger and wiser. 

“With the humble is wisdom.” Proverbs 11:2 

4. God Confirms His Will Through Counsel 

When advice lines up with Scripture and brings peace it often confirms God’s direction. God uses unity of counsel to guide us clearly. 

“In the multitude of counselors there is safety.” Proverbs 24:6 

Prayer 

Lord Jesus give me the humility to seek godly counsel. Surround me with wise believers who hear Your voice and walk in Your truth. Help me listen learn and follow the guidance You provide through them. Lead me into Your perfect will. Amen. 

Declaration 

Today I seek godly counsel. I listen with humility and walk in wisdom. God guides me through His Word His Spirit and the wise voices He places in my life.
